• Pre session : “What do you think keeps us healthy – only organs or something more?”

• Small group discussion → list Ayurveda’s health factors (Doṣa-Dhātu-Mala-Agni Samya).

Conclude with importance of fundamentals for diagnosis, treatment, and preventive health.

Concept of Tridoṣa as per Contemporary Medical Physiology

Activity:

1. 1. Divide class into 3 groups → each group represents Vāta, Pitta, Kapha.

   2. Task: relate their functions to modern physiology (e.g., Vāta = nervous system, circulation; Pitta = enzymes, hormones; Kapha = immunity, stability).

   3. Present in chart/role play form

Mutual Relationship – Triguṇa, Tridoṣa, Pañcamahābhūta, Prakṛti

Activity:

• Draw a concept map linking Guṇa → Doṣa → Mahābhūta → Prakṛti.

• Students identify their own Prakṛti through a quick questionnaire.

• Discuss how mental traits (Sattva, Rajas, Tamas) influence physical constitution.

Examination Methods (Trividha, Aṣṭavidha, Daśavidha) & Sara Parīkṣā

Activity:

• Live demonstration: check Nadi (pulse), Jihva (tongue), Drik (eyes), etc.

• Role play: one student as patient, another as physician → perform Trividha, Aṣṭavidha, Daśavidha Parīkṣā.

• Group activity: classify strengths based on Sara Parīkṣā (Rasa Sara – glowing skin, Rakta Sara – good complexion, etc.).

Scope of Kriyā Śarīra in Research Era

Activity:

• Brainstorm session: “How can Prakṛti and Agni concepts be linked to genetics, metabolism, or lifestyle diseases?”

• Case study presentation: Ayurveda + modern research examples (e.g., nutrigenomics, chronobiology).

• Students prepare 2–3 ideas for research proposals using Kriyā Śarīra principles.
